Human Readable Terms of Service

      goatl.ink is free. Be honest about who you are, don't abuse it,
      and we'll get along great.

The service

goatl.ink lets you build a public profile page that links to accounts you've verified by signing in with them, plus custom links you add yourself. The service is provided free of charge, as-is, and without any guarantee of availability — we do our best to keep it running, but it's not a paid product with an SLA.

Your account

You sign in with accounts you already own on other platforms; there is no goatl.ink password. You're responsible for keeping access to those accounts secure — anyone who can log in to a connected account with login enabled can log in to your goatl.ink profile. You must be legally old enough in your country to use the third-party platforms you connect.

Acceptable use

  • Don't impersonate other people, brands, or organizations — including through your display name, your bio, your custom links, or the link (slug) you claim
  • Don't claim slugs in bad faith (trademark squatting, hoarding names, or reselling them)
  • Don't link to or promote anything illegal, and don't use your profile for phishing, malware, scams, or spam
  • Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service

We may remove content, reclaim slugs, or suspend and delete accounts that violate these rules — where feasible we'll be proportionate (e.g. reclaiming a squatted slug rather than deleting the account), but we reserve the right to decide case by case.

Your content

Everything you upload or enter (images, bio, links, themes) remains yours. By putting it on a public profile you grant us the right to host it and display it publicly — that's the entire purpose of the service. Don't upload content you don't have the rights to.

Third-party platforms

The platforms you connect (Discord, GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, Twitch, Steam, X, Bluesky, YouTube) are separate services with their own terms, which continue to apply to your use of those platforms. If you connect a YouTube channel, you additionally agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, as goatl.ink uses the YouTube API Services. How we handle data from connected platforms is described in our Privacy Policy.

Termination

You can stop using goatl.ink at any time and delete your account (and all its data) yourself in the dashboard's "Danger zone". We can suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms or, with reasonable notice where possible, discontinue the service.

Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for damages arising from your use of the service, from downtime or data loss, or from the content of profiles created by other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves; the current version is always available at this page. Continuing to use goatl.ink after a change means you accept the updated terms.
